Hi - My mom got a copy of your album while at the POW-WOW in Nevada in 2002. She gave it to me then, I LOVED it, lost it, forgot about it (don't judge me for forgetting about an album that I dearly love - I have a 3 year old and a 10 month old and things like that just happen) - I just refound it and am so giddy that I can't stand it. Don't know who put the album in mom's hands but thanks...

Have they actually made Colin Aberdeen the "mayor" of Syracuse? Well it's about time. Hey Mike, give me your email address and I'll send you the chords, or ask Colin, I stole most my licks from him anyway. To our new friends in Florida--we love you too, wish I could be in Jacksonville to see my beloved Patriots murder the Eagles. How anyone can like the Patriots and the Yankees is odd I know, but blame my Dad, it's his fault. Glad you folks are enjoying the tunes......did that person say I look like Fred Durst?!? Hey Ryan,
I am also a friend of Colin Aberdeen "the Mayor" of Syracuse, he turned Rebecca and I on to your music and we love it. The lyrics and chords Rebecca is looking for is the song about Becky, surprisingly enough. She's very excited that someone used her name in a song and until I write her one, I'd love to sing your song to her. Leaving Today, I believe is the title. Hope you guys can make it to San Antonio and/or Austin sometime soon. Hasta luego, mike

Ry Ry, I don't have any idea who this dude who says he is my lawyer is. I was in a Swedish brothel last night in the Hamptons watching two camels playing ping pong against Khaddafi and bin Laden when I suggested to this blind and deaf guy next to me that the camels had a nice stroke. He read my lips with his big toe and ran off to place a bet with the local bookie. Before I know it, everyone wants in on the action, mobsters, Republicans(they pack the brothels), Paris Hilton, and her sex robot included. The camels win in a landslide, and I'm carried out over their heads and dumped in a mirror finished Model A with batwings. The guy driving takes me to a cement factory in New York where they stick electrodes in my head and force me to drink Zima to find out my deepest hidden secrets. I held out until they took away my weed, then I cracked like an old woman's hip bone. Turns out, all I wanted was a CD of my performance with the Great Four Year Bender. What? It was already in the mail?

Ry ry, I swear I don't know anything about any camels or Zima. I got the CD, but when I play it, all I hear are taxidermy instructions for Jerry Garcia. "First, stuff the old man full of righteous jams and stinking tye dye shirts. Sprinkle liberally with concentrated love for toe rings on girls who don't wash their feet...etc" you know the deal. I think you should check with your CD pressing company. They must be getting kickbacks from Ron Jeremy. That kind of language doesn't play well on the radio. Anyway, so the other day I was sleeping for 16 hours and...

I am writing to inform you that our client, Darin Spencer Raymond, has not received a CD of his performance on your album, despite repeated requests. We regretfully have had to take legal action. My cousin Bubba Twisty has developed, shall we say, an extreme liking for a certain controlled substance, an unlimited amount of which I have promised to him if he travels to San Francisco, seeks you out and procures a copy of said CD for our client Mr. D.S. Raymond. Any incidental bodily harm that may befall you and yours, Mr. Smith, is entirely out of our hands. Good Luck!

Hi Ryan!
Do you BELIEVE this?!.....an e-mail from dad!! I'm on call this weekend, and am hanging out in my office, waiting for a bleeder to hit the ER. So I pulled up your website to check it out......very impressive! Good luck at Slim's Saturday nite....wish I could be there, but I'll be on the Mt. Washington celebrating Norny's birthday [Aug. 21]. A bunch of us are going to do the dinner dance cruise. Are you opening for someone at Slim's, or are you the headline group?? ER just called.....gotta go. Hi to Robin Dawn, and everyone.
Dad

Hey Ryan!! Saw you around Christmas when you played in Portsmouth, NH. We are friends of Sean Smalley and he introduced us to you and your music. Well, I am a huge fan of Matt Nathanson and was on his website and found out about the new CD for edu-ma-cation! I flipped out when I found that you were on it! Kudos to you! Yee Haa! I immediately called Sean's wife to tell them. I am so happy for you and wish you continued success. It is always great to see success! We hope that we have the opportunity to catch you here on the East Coast! Take Care, Melissa

Out of curiousity, you said that Zeitgeist is one of your favorite hang-outs. Do you ride a motorcycle?

Theresa - Thursday, May 27th, 2004 2:21 PM PDT
I caught you at the KFOG show and absolutely loved your sound. I also loved the energy from your drummer. Very cool. Looking forward to catching another show soon.

John - Tuesday, May 18th, 2004 9:16 PM PDT
My wife and I heard you at the KFOG show, and had a great time listening to the band. We thought you folks outperformed that other band (Wheat) by miles - obviously in your music, but also in your stage presence. We had great seats on the left side of the stage, and particularly had fun watching and listening to your guitarist and drummer - what fun they were to watch - way more technically interesting than the other band. The album is great and we love the songwriting - our only disappointment is that the fun drummer we watched at the concert doesn't seem to be on the album! Best wishes and keep it up!

Chrissy - Thursday, May 13th, 2004 4:17 PM PDT
When are you guys coming to stay for uncomfortably long periods of time in my tiny apt. again? Those were the days. Miss you, miss you, miss you! Come back soon and stay for a while.

I heard your song on KFOG the other day when I was heading home to Marin. I haven't felt a buzz like that since I drank a 5th of Rasperry Scnapps with Timothy Hutton on the set of Falcon and the Snowman! You are the 2nd coming of Jerry Garcia my man! Write back.
